The Irish Association of Supported Employment (IASE) are truly delighted to host the 2013 European Union of Supported Employment Conference taking place in June, 2013 in the historic Croke Park Stadium and Conference Centre, Dublin.

We believe that Dublin is the perfect 2013 EUSE Conference location as it is extremely well serviced with an array of excellent conference venues, accommodation and transport services as well as being a vibrant city of culture.

The theme for the Conference is “ Building an Inclusive Europe through Supported Employment” and this conference will showcase the many best practice initiatives and developments taking place across the world which seeks to promote, equality, active citizenship, full inclusion, self-advocacy, equal opportunity and the human rights of individuals with a disability and other marginalized groups.

The IASE have a strong track record in organizing very satisfactory conferences over the years and we are delighted to work in partnership with the Board of EUSE in planning and delivering the 2013 Conference which will be at the cutting edge of showcasing best practice policy, legislation and person centred individualized practices/services and supports for individuals with a disability. We are delighted that Ms Margaret Haddock has been newly elected EUSE President and we wish her every success in this very significant role

Since our inception in 1994 the IASE have played a significant role in framing National Policy and we are recognized as the main body representing supported employment for people with disabilities in Ireland. Alongside this, the IASE have worked closely with Government Departments on national employment issues for people with disabilities, and the IASE were instrumental in the development of the National Supported Employment Programme in 2000. We look forward to enjoying the continued support of Government Departments and National policy makers in hosting this very significant EUSE conference in Ireland and we are particularly delighted that the Irish Government will be holding the European Presidency in 2013.

We believe that this will be an outstanding European Conference which will meet the need of delegates from Europe and across the world and we look forward to keeping you up to date on the developments relating to 2013 EUSE Conference as they unfold.

Best Wishes,

Teresa Mallon.
